Why is it worth choosing LED lighting for the garden?

LED garden luminaires are energy-efficient and long-lasting. The energy efficiency of LEDs is incomparable to traditional bulbs or halogens. They emit an eye-pleasing light that can be adapted to individual needs, and the variety of forms and colours makes it possible to create a unique atmosphere. Moreover, they are resistant to changing weather conditions, which is crucial when used outdoors. LED luminaires are the ideal choice for the garden for anyone who values long-lasting, high-quality solutions. Currently, the market offers both standard LED bulbs, LEDs built into fixtures and decorative bulbs that serve well as an independent decoration and light source.

Remember the most important thing: the waterproof rating, at least IP44. This literally means "Index of Protection". The first digit refers to the protection of the luminaire against solid objects (e.g. dust, sand) and the second means protection against liquids - e.g. rain. In the case of IP44, the luminaire is protected against water falling from any direction and solid bodies larger than 1 mm.

LED What LED fixtures to illuminate plants?

When choosing LED lighting for your garden, keep plants in mind. Choose luminaires according to the type of plants: their height, density and species. The Kanlux PRESO family of luminaires includes posts with heights ranging from 30 to 80 cm. The lamps shine sideways, not upwards, so it is possible to illuminate the plants around them. They are ideal for dense plants with small flowers and leaves. Match the bulbs yourself - choose the light intensity and colour according to your preferences and the density of the plants, the lower the density the less light will be needed. An interesting choice is Kanlux STONO - a luminaire imitating stones. The light spheres are available in diameters from 20 to 78 cm. They go well with rockeries and look good among low plants.

Wall-mounted and LED façade luminaires

Installing wall-mounted luminaires in the garden and yard is an excellent solution with many benefits. Make sure that the luminaires are LED or install LED bulbs yourself so that you use less electricity. Another advantage is the option to choose the light intensity and colour, which makes it possible to adjust the lighting to different needs and moods, creating a pleasant atmosphere both during evening meetings on the terrace and relaxing walks in the garden.
If you care about aesthetics and a cosy atmosphere, go for Kanlux VIMO, which look like lanterns. They are available in two colours - black matte and copper brown. Their additional advantage is built-in motion sensors ("SE" versions), which enable better energy management. It also increases the level of safety - you don't have to worry about finding the light switch when you go out to the terrace, and if an unexpected visitor shows up at the house - you'll know about it straight away.
Façade luminaires are a special type of wall-mounted luminaires, they give less light but they are a key element in the architecture of buildings, not only in terms of aesthetics but also functionality and security. Well-matched luminaires add character to a building. Kanlux BISO are luminaires with a simple and attractive design. Thanks to the IP54 protection class they can be used on façades. In the Kanlux BISO luminaire, the light coming from the LED module is softly dispersed on the façade and the back of the luminaire.

String lights for the garden - how to use them properly?

A both functionally and aesthetically interesting solution is string lights for the garden, i.e. popular light garlands. They make it possible to create an effective and impressive "chain of light", which emphasises the shape and boundaries of the garden or creates a romantic mood during evening relaxation. The ability to choose the length of the garland and select individual bulbs yourself makes it a highly flexible decoration. Kanlux GRL string lights are characterised by a pass-through power supply - this means that you can create an installation of any length by connecting the strings up to a length of 150 metres. You can choose decorative filament bulbs or use colourful Kanlux ST45 solutions.

LED lighting for the garden is a great solution that not only allows to beautifully decorate the garden and yard but also guarantees safety. When choosing garden luminaires, it is worth paying attention to their properties and suitability for outdoor use. This will help to create not only a magical but also a functional home environment.
