LED strips - stylish and functional

LED strips are the most "spectacular form of lighting". It allows you to create fancy installations. But how to choose the most suitable one? We will try to help you step by step.

Installation of LED strips should be planned at the stage of designing the installation in the house or during the renovation. LED strips offer a multitude of design possibilities and, although sometimes they might require installation of additional lighting, they become more often used as the main lighting. However, using LED strips one can: create a quiet atmosphere, illuminate niches, wardrobe interiors, stairs or corridors, kitchen worktops or divide open spaces. There are many possibilities. When designing areas that we want to illuminate with LED strips, we should remember about wiring systems, power supplies, controllers, and also about the profiles which will protect strip lights from damage. We must take care of all these things already at the stage of design so that the lifetime of the lighting installation will be satisfactory.

When choosing LED strips, you need to answer the basic question: "How large will the installation be, what section or area is to be illuminated with the LED strips?". If you want to illuminate larger spaces, the best solution will be 24V strips. 24V LED strips are not yet as popular as 12V strips, but it is worth knowing that they have several advantages. The main advantages are: the possibility of using longer sections of LED strips ensuring more uniform illumination along the entire length, less risk of colour differences between the ends of the strip and the possibility of using wires with a smaller cross-section (which is important during installation).

After deciding what you want to illuminate, it is time to choose the type of strips. Each LED strip has its unique characteristics thanks to which you can create different illumination. If you need bright, expressive light, you should choose the Kanlux LCOB 12V strip. It has high light efficiency (up to 110 lumens per watt) and a 3-year warranty. However, its unique feature is the possibility to obtain a continuous light line regardless of the depth of the profile and the transparency of the shade. There are no single spots of light, and the resulting effect makes every room look unique.

LED strips will also help illuminate the bathroom and create a unique atmosphere. For this purpose, you can choose 12V Kanlux L60 LED strip, with a high colour rendering index Ra90, which is especially important during the morning routine, especially when doing make-up. These stripes are available in the IP65 version which ensures their waterproofness.

Kanlux L120 CCT also deserves particular attention - it consists of just one strip and provides three colours of light. Now you can change the colour of light depending on the situation and your mood. In the morning you can have neutral light to help you wake up. During the day you can set light to a cold colour, which will help you to concentrate and devote yourself to work, and in the evening you can change to a warm colour, which is good for calming down and preparing for a night's rest. In addition, Kanlux L120 CCT has a very high colour rendering index CRI 90 and up to 3 years of warranty.

You can also go all in and use Kanlux L48, a strip allowing you to freely change the lighting colour. This will allow you to make any lighting installation and create a dreamlike atmosphere. You can choose between two versions - IP00 and IP65, so you can be sure that you can place them in any room and you won't have to worry about their durability.

Next, the only thing to do is to choose the power supply unit - you can use the power supply offered by Kanlux. Pay attention to whether the strips you've chosen are 12V or 24V and how much power they need. If you're not sure whether the power supply you've chosen is suitable for your lighting, consult the seller. For LED strips you can also choose a controller, which consists of two parts: remote control and a receiver. After mounting the receiver to the strips, remote control can be used to turn on / off and control all the functions of the LED strip. The strips are recommended to be installed in aluminium profiles - see the Kanlux PROFILO series. Information about processing personal data (GDPR)

The Controller of your personal data is Kanlux S.A. with its registered office in Radzionków (41-922) at ul. Objazdowa 1-3, (“the Controller”).

1. Contact details of the Controller: ado@kanlux.pl.
2. Personal data are processed for the purpose of fulfilling the Controllers legitimate interest in the execution of the agreement, asserting claims related to the business activity conducted and - in the case of voluntarily granted consent - conducting direct marketing of its own products or services
3. Personal data will be stored in the IT environment, which means that data may also be temporarily stored and processed, e.g. in back-up copies, as part of tests of IT systems or procedures aimed at detecting irregularities or protecting against fraud or attacks, in order to ensure the security and proper functioning of IT systems.
4. The recipients of the data will be entities supporting the Controller in the scope of IT services, transport services and subsidiaries and affiliates of Kanlux S.A. and its permanent commercial representatives having their registered offices in the territory of a Member State of the European Union, as well as lawyers and auditors.
5. The Controller does not intend to transfer the data to a third country or an international organisation.
6. Personal data will be kept for the duration of the agreement, and after its termination - for the period required for the performance of accounting or tax duties (for their duration) and the period necessary for the expiration or limitation of any claims arising from the agreement, and in the case of consent to the processing of personal data for marketing purposes - until the withdrawal of consent.
7. You have the right to:
a) Demand access to data;
b) Demand that your data be rectified if they have been incorrectly saved or if they have changed;
c) Demand the removal of data if the legal basis for their processing no longer applies;
d) Demand the limitation of the processing if, in your opinion, they are incorrect (for a period enabling the Controller to check the accuracy of the data) or pending the processing of your objection, or if the Controller no longer needs the personal data but you need them in order to establish, pursue or defend your claims;
e) Raise objections to the processing of personal data if they are no longer necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller;
f) File a complaint with the supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of personal data violates the law.;
8. The provision of data related to the implementation of the agreement is voluntary but necessary for the purpose of the implementation of the agreement. Providing data for marketing purposes is voluntary.
9. No automated decisions, including through profiling, are taken based on your personal data.
10. Once the processing of your personal data for the original purpose has been completed, the data will not be processed for any other purpose.
