Hidden lighting: will it work for you? - 1

Light sources are a very important element of every house and flat. Lighting arrangement can bring the right atmosphere to a particular room, create a relaxation zone or appropriate working conditions. Hidden lighting is supposed to give the impression of being invisible and flushing with the surface. They are usually mounted in walls, ceilings or shelves, but they can be mounted in floor as well.

Living room

There are several ways of mounting hidden lamps in the living room. The popular decorative rings Kanlux GLOZO will be one of them. With their round or square shape, two colours and reflectors in 4 colours, they can easily match the decor. Mounted in the ceiling, they will not draw attention and will be suitable as the main source of light when arranged in a group or as a supplementary light.
If you prefer even more minimalist solutions, choose Kanlux REUL. Two light points in one lamp and the possibility to adjust the light beam in two different directions is a good solution for supplementary lighting, e.g. above the sofa or wall decorations.

Kitchen

Both in the kitchen and in the living room, LED strips are the right choice to bring elements of modernity to the decor. In the kitchen, they are best placed under the cupboards and above the worktop. They can also be mounted under the worktops of the kitchen island, whereas in the living room, they will work perfectly in recesses in the suspended ceiling, hidden in the walls or even in the floor. However, in the case of walls or floors, it is essential to use profiles that will properly protect the tapes from damage. Alternatively, you can use the configurator, which will help you choose your LED strips and prepare a list of the components you need for your kit.
A non-invasive solution for finished interiors is the 3-metre Kanlux COB SET strip - without the need for forging walls and installing additional electrical systems. Thanks to the appropriate design (COB technology), the light points are not visible in the tape, and the obtained smooth surface gives the effect of uniform light.

Hall

Let's not forget about the stairs. Going upstairs at night can be dangerous if you don't take care of the proper lighting. In order not to take up space in a small area and accidentally trip over a lamp, and at the same time not to illuminate the whole room, choose staircase luminaires. Kanlux ERINUS is a series that has a housing so thin that it remains virtually invisible on the wall. Depending on your preferences, you can choose the colour, shape and lighting direction.
These fittings can also be used to illuminate a hall, corridor or hallway and can be connected with a motion sensor so that they only turn on when someone is within their range.

Bathroom

It is a room where a lot of moisture accumulates and most of the equipment comes into contact with water. For this reason, hidden lighting will suit such conditions perfectly. Lamps that flush with the surface of the walls are less exposed to dirt and moisture. However, keep in mind that the lighting used in the bathroom should have an increased IP parameter (44 or higher), and LED strips must be placed in the profiles. A good example of this is the Kanlux IVIAN LED lamp - a model characterised by an increased IP44 rating. The luminaires are available in two colour temperatures: warm and neutral, so you can choose a neutral colour as the main light and the warm colour as the one to accompany you during your evening bath.

External lighting

If you live in a house, lighting your driveway, pavement or alley is definitely a necessity for you.  Ground-mounted luminaires do not disturb the style of the garden, are invisible and very practical. It is important to consider buying them already at the construction and finishing stage, so that they can be easily mounted in a convenient place. Kanlux BERG AD is a luminaire that perfectly blends in with the surface in which it is mounted. Its additional strengths include an adjustable beam angle and very high protection against water and dust (IP67), and against mechanical damage (IK10), which ensures operation regardless of weather conditions.

With well-planned lighting and matching specific light sources to rooms, hidden lighting will work perfectly both in minimalist and modern arrangements, as well as in more classic ones. It is worth thinking about it in advance so that you can plan the installation and the space, or choose models that do not require additional renovation at a later stage.
